Celebrating 75 years!
The American Guild of Organists promotes the organ in its historic and evolving roles, encourages excellence in the performance of organ and choral music, and provides a forum for mutual support, inspiration, education, and certification of Guild members. We invite you to join us.
Please join us at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Feb 17th from 11am to 2pm for a CHORAL AND ORGAN WORKSHOP featuring Dr. Matthew Abernathy of the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and Dr. Steven Ball from the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Venice FL and the Tampa Theatre. Dr. Abernathy will present a Choral Toolbox, focusing on choral techniques and tips for the non-singing Music Director, dealing with smaller choirs post-pandemic and many other issues. Dr. Ball will present a talk on the Art of Organ Registration, especially helpful for transitioning pianists and anyone else who wants to use their church organ to the fullest extent.
Refreshments will be served in-between sessions. No charge for admission but please register at http://tinyurl.com/4YU2BMDE so we can prepare the munchies! Donations welcome to offset costs.
