The Tampa Chapter of the American Guild of Organists began as the Tampa Branch and was chartered in January of 1926. The Chapter Charter was granted on December 8, 1947. As a chapter we are 73 years old, but came into existence as a branch 95 years ago.
Membership todays stands at 41 with some belonging for over 50 years!
The American Guild of Organists is an international organization of academic, church, and concert organists.
Membership is not limited to organists but is open to anyone with an interest in the organ. The Guild seeks to set and maintain high musical standards and to promote understanding and appreciation of all aspects of organ and choral music.
